To My Hubby....

....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I'm so happy to be with you.  You are an amazing husband, father, and person all around.
I remember when we first got together, I noticed how you smiled at everyone and could strike up a conversation with anyone.  I was so impressed, never having met anyone like that.
You are the best husband!  You spoil me rotten, even though I don't deserve it.  I always feel special.
You are a wonderful father.  Hailey loves you so much.  She cries everytime you leave, and whenever a car drives by she always goes "daddy?!"
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life.  We love you!! <3
Happy Birthday

Lurking?

Once again, Mia woke us up at 3 AM to barking at something outside.  We've had the doggy door even before I was pregnant and she's never barked at night at anything.  But two nights in a month.  We did spot a baby deer laying in the grass, but we are possitive that that is not what she was barking at.  We did not find it though.  If it was the mountain lion...than it's lurking around.  This makes me very uncomfortable.  Every night I'll sleep a little less soundly wondering if one night I won't hear Mia bark.  Of course, we don't know for sure that it was the mountain lion, but it still makes me uncomfortable that we never found what she was barking at.  Mia doesn't bark at nothing.  We trust our doggie haha.
Between the mountain lion at night and the rattlesnakes in the day, I can not WAIT to move!  I can only pray that an opportunity to move comes our way soon.

Anime

I love anime and manga.  If you don't know what that is, it is basically Japanese cartoons and comics.  It's a style.  It can be a little outragious sometimes, but I love it!
One reason I like it is because it shows so much emotion.  Whether it be sad, happy, funny, or angry, you can always sense the emotion in it (if its a good one that is).  I've had a couple scenes in both anime and manga that stick in my head for the strong emotion in them.
When it comes to funny, I love how you can see everything on their faces.  If they're upset, disgusted, or are like "what the hell!" It's also awesome artwork.  The artwork can make the difference between a crappy story and a beautiful or exciting story.
Plus I have to say about anime...usually (not always sadly) the voice acting is amazing!  You can feel each emotion and situation through the voice.  Like say it's a sad scene and the character is crying, if their voice cracks like most peoples does in real life, it just kills me and usually makes me cry.
If you do watch anime, and it doesn't bug you too bad, I suggest watching originals.  Some english translations (dubs) aren't bad....but they are definatly not as good as the originals.  That said....some dubs are awful! haha.
Which anime do I like?  Well, a lot.  And I have a list of ones I want to watch.  If I made my lists on here this would be forever long.  So I'm going to post a link to my Pintrest.  It is my "anime" board and it has at least one picture of each anime and manga that i've watch/read that I like....I have seen some crappy ones and those are not on there haha.  There may be a better way to organize them, but I don't know it yet.  So search through it and maybe try some out.  Have any to suggest? Let me know! :)

My List

I've been thinking........I have some things I want to do in my life.  Some are kind of silly, but hey.  The list is small right now, but I'm sure I'll add to it.  The list is on the side of my blog, if you haven't noticed haha.
It includes: Learning to shoot a bow,  Learn Japanese,  Go to Japan,  and Learn to play an instrument...........well.  And some others.
But I'm not off to a very good start.  I start one and get sidetracked or get bummed if I don't immediatly succeed (I'm very competitive and hate to fail).  So I need to pick one, and focus on it.  A lot of what I want to do is stuff you have to practice at least a little everyday.  Maybe I should make some kind of schedule.
So, anyone have tips for getting some cool goals done?  I'd love to know! :)

Mother's Day is When?!?!

Just realized that Mother's Day is now less than a week away, which means I have a couple days to think up something because I have to mail it.  I remember having an awesome idea, but for some reason I cannot remember it for the life of me!  And I have no new ideas.  Does anyone have any ideas I could steal? haha.  I'm completely drawing a blank on what to do.  :(

Mountain Lion?

This morning I had a scare.  Mia never barks unless there is something in the yard.  This morning at about 5AM I woke up to some barking.  At first I was like "that's weird barking, is that Mia?" (I'm used to Matt's mom's dogs barking all night).  Than I realized it was Mia and was up in an instant.  Matt was at work, so I had to do it.  I scrambled to find my shoes, turn on a light in the house, find the flashlight, and unlock the door.
When I got outside, I couldn't see anything.  She was in the far end of the yard barking toward the neighbors.  They have a ton of empty space with tall grass.  I couldn't find anything.  Than as my flashlight passed part of the fence, it caught some glowing eyes staring at me.  Last time we had glowing eyes like that close to the ground in high grass it was the mountain lion, so I immediatly made Mia get in the house.  I looked some more but couldn't tell for sure.  So I locked Mia in the house for the rest of the night.
Now, I'm not saying it was for sure a mountain lion, but I think the chances were pretty good.  It's been spotted up here quite a bit (enough to have a sign at the bottom of the hill saying its here) and it's been like that near our yard before.  I sweat I saw it once in the day too walking toward Matt's mom's house.
If it was, it could have easily jumped over the low chain link fence seperating it and Mia.  That may have been it's intention.  Mia is small as huskies go, and it was low in the grass.  If it was, than that's the second time within a month and a half I could of lost my dog.  Man, I can't wait to move!

Welcome to May! / Snake Watch

It's hard to believe that we are already in May!  One more month and 2012 will be half over! I'm hoping we can have a lot of adventures this month!
Don't really have much going on.  Matt got stung by a bee and his hand was super swollen.  We bought Hailey a potty and she's used it once, but I think it was more coincidence than her knowing she was using the potty, but who knows!  Matt's grandparents moved up on the little hill with us...but that's a story for another day.
As you may know, Mia got bit by a baby rattlesnake a while ago.  She's fine now (even the hair on her legs is starting to grow back), but it was a very scary.  You can watch a video that shows a little here - http://youtu.be/SWQHHNy5V6k
Just remember that they are there.  It's spring, so the babies are going to be out and about.  Babies cannot 'sound off' (or shake their rattle) because they have yet to shed enought to make one.  Also, they do not understand how to control their venom.  Sometimes adults will give a dry bite as a warning if they are being bothered.  Also, adults only use enough venom as needed for prey, babies let it all go.  You also need to watch out for adults.  They don't always give the best warning.  So when your out and about in their territory, be sure to watch where you step and listen well :)   *The more you know* (rainbow theme)
